Multimodal Presentation Video: https://youtu.be/4DY3ZKyM5t0

While researching Sam Taylor-Wood, I learned that I should not shy away from subjects that are frequently photographed. In the past, I tried finding unique subjects to ensure that my images were interesting to viewers which could sometimes lead to frustration. However, Sam Taylor-Wood uses celebrities as her subjects, who are constantly photographed, and created interesting works of art that stand out. She did this by creatively using lighting, composition, and staging to enhance her ideas, which is something I want to focus more on moving forward.

"I think this presentation is really well done and does a great job of highlighting the photographer's most notable bodies of work! I really liked how you discussed the concepts that Lauren Greenfield brings into question through her work, like wealth and societal standards. Topics such as these can be controversial or uncomfortable for viewers, but I think this is what makes her work so interesting and important."

Hi Emma! I really loved your presentation and I think you picked great photos and videos from Sam Taylor Woods' works to include in it. One thing I think you did really well was describe the time lapse video depicting time and decay, it really helped me understand the message the artist was trying to get across. My favorite would have to be the men crying series because it was very emotional especially considering the sentiment that many men are told that they can't cry or show their emotions. The only thing that could have been better would be to use more of chapter 4 when looking at these works.

Hey Emma! I really enjoyed your multimodal presentation and I think you did a great job at choosing a variety of Sam Taylor Woods' work to share from videos to photographs for various reasons. One thing that I really enjoyed is that the artist you chose was a woman, which stuck out to me. I loved the use of ropes and removing them to get a certain effect as well as telling the subjects to cry. I think these are both very creative techniques and goes to show just how much you have to use your mind in the world of photography.

Hey! You did a great job on your presentation. I like that you talked about how she uses celebrities as subjects and how this is important in today's society where people look up to celebrities. I also think you critiqued and explained the images and techniques she used well. My favorite was the crying men series because men crying is very stigmatized. I think both Sam and Jeff's work has inspired me to use more emotions in my work going forward.

I think that you did an excellent job at showcasing a broad range of Sam-Taylor's Woods photography. You gave really good descriptions of the different images and your explanation of the meanings were detailed and thoughtful. My favorite image was "suspended self-portrait" because I thought it was really creative how the photographer created the illusion of floating upside down. I think the presentation could be stronger by utilizing chapter 4 more to give a better analysis of photographic techniques that were used.

Hi Emma! I really enjoyed watching your presentation on Sam Taylor Wood's work - it was very informative and easy to understand! I feel as if I learned a lot about the photographer and her background. I enjoyed seeing some of the work she did, especially the Crying Men project. She is a very artistic and talented photographer, and you do an excellent job of showcasing that! Regarding what you could improve, I wish you went into more detail about the techniques, such as lighting, she used. Overall, you did an awesome job and I enjoyed watching your video!
